Let's get stacking
All beginnings are a bit difficult.
But after this page, you’ll be a master in stacking.
Just follow these steps, and it will feel intuitive and easy.
On this page, we will assume you bought a stack of three straps.
1. unboxing
Take everything out of the ziplocks.
You should have three straps, a logo link, a hook and a number of links.
The ziplocks are 100% biodegradable, so feel free to throw them away.
You can even put them in the compost bin.
The can, we advise to keep.
To store your ARMOR OF THE FREE parts.
Or receipts, coins, buttons, foreign currency, forgotten keys, etc.
2. sizing
Wrap one strap around your wrist, and roughly guess how many centimeters are left between the two ends.
In the image to the left, this would be around 2 cm.
Each (logo) link or hook is 1 cm.
So this person needs 2 links per strap.
Additionally, you usually need (at least) 1 extra link for a stack.
So this person, with 3 straps, will roughly need:
3 (straps) x 2 (links per strap) + 1 (extra link) = 7 links/hook
3. link chain
We advise attaching all links, the logo link and the hook in one LINK CHAIN.
To connect the links, hold them perpendicular and slide them into each other.
The logo link can be placed at any preferred place in the link chain.
Place the hook at the end.
4. connect
Now connect the straps in your preferred order.
Please note the attention points below when attaching the straps.
Connect the Link Chain to one end of the stack, with the hook at the open end.
For easier use, attach the link chain to a flexible strap and reserve the stiff strap for the other end.
attention points
Some straps, like leather or rope, have a natural curl.
Their connectors are rotated 90 degrees relative to each other.
Make sure you connect opposite connectors, not identical ones.
This applies to flat connectors as well.
For curled straps, also ensure they curl in the same direction.
This way, the stack naturally wraps around the wrist.
5. adjusting
Now you can test if the stack fits.
Hang the middle strap over your wrist, then wrap the other straps around your wrist and connect the hook to the last connector.
The first couple of times, perhaps this feels a bit like a struggle, but you will get the hang of it soon enough.
If it doesn’t fit or feels too tight, add another link to the link chain and check again.
If it’s too loose, we recommend removing one or more links, as the hook may come undone by itself while wearing it.
A. cuffs
Cuffs in your stack offer a few added benefits:
They “break up” your stack, making it look even more like a regular set of separate bracelets.
They also make it easier to put the stack on, since you can start by hanging the cuff over your wrist.
If you want to add a cuff to your stack, keep two things in mind:
1. Position the cuff somewhere in the middle of the stack, not at the end.
2. Attach a few of the links you need directly to the cuff (instead of adding all links at the end). Do this on the side you want to wear on the inside of your wrist. This is because your wrist isn’t a symmetrical oval. If you don’t compensate for that, the end of the stack may shift to the side or top of your wrist instead of staying at the bottom.
